Abstract:
Olanzapine has been previously associated with severe Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI). This case report presents a case of olanzapine-associated DILI in a 24-year-old woman with unique pattern of severe microvesicular steatosis and cholestasis on liver biopsy. This histologic finding narrowed the differential diagnosis to Wilson disease, DILI, and alcohol-related foamy degeneration. The patient discontinued olanzapine and her liver injury resolved rapidly. Early identification of olanzapinerelated DILI is important for prompt improvement in liver injury.
